Part 2
She was one of a kind! Spunky, classy, outspoken, full of wisdom, always put-together, nails done, hair done, currently fashionable, witty, prankster, out spoken, always had a "zinger" remark to add to any lesson or any church event, full of love and compassion I could go on and on! Loved, loved all those things about her. I with 100's of others will cherish the years I was privileged to sing in her famous Oak Hills Ward Choir, especially for our Christmas Program. We did as much laughing as we did singing. I miss it and think of her every ward Christmas program or choir that I sing in. Love You Eulala!

Part 1
We were so sorry that we were unable to attend the funeral and see you all at the viewing. Whenever I think about Eulala, a big smile comes on my face and I just grin. One of the memories that come to mind, is "classic Eulala". We had just moved into the ward and I was attending my first ward event, a Relief Society party, held in her back yard. This was not a casual event, mind you, everyone all dressed up. Towards the end of the dinner & program, the quartet that she was singing in, all took a bow. To everyone's surprise, Eulala jumped into the pool! Clothes, jewelry and all! I couldn't believe it! A woman in her mid 70's just jumped into the pool! Everyone burst into laughter and others followed in, clothes and all. We all laughed till we cried. Awesome,……… I thought, ….I want to grow up and be just like her!

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful service for your Mother. I laughed and cried and wished so much that Mom would have felt well enough to attend. She has not been doing well the last little while and just didn't feel up to it. Emotionally as well as physically. She loved your dear Mother with all her heart. She has taken her passing hard. She was grateful to have the opportunity to visit with each of you on Sunday evening. I felt it only fitting that at least one of us in the family was there at the service to represent our family and honor your Mom. I was glad that I was able to be the one. I have so many fond memories of her and your Dad and the quartet and parties at your pool!! Thank you so much for sharing your lives with ours! WE have been blessed for the association. If you have a copy of the service that you wouldn't mind letting me borrow, I would love for Mom to hear it. Thanks and much love to you all!

Great-aunt Eulala will be missed by all. I was one of many, many young children that learned to swim in their pool. My condolences to the entire Butters Family.

I admired and respected Eulala. She was indeed known as the Best Ward (and Stake) Choir Director in the Church. I can still hear her rendition of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."
She was also a beautiful women in every sense of the word. And she raised a wonderful family. All of you children are amazingly accomplished. I send my condolences on her loss. She made a wonderful contribution during her time on earth and touched many lives.

Sheri, Lyle and Family,
Oh my is this grand lady having a marvelous reunion! I can't be too sad with her passing when I realize what a remarkable life she lived and how many lives she touched. She was/is the "poster child" for class, dignity, and grace. I can remember as a small boy hoping that in my walk home from Stoker school I would be able to see the most beautiful lady I had ever seen standing on the sidewalk outside the salon. My admiration for her never changed over the many years I knew her. I never saw her, even in her later years, that she didn't look like she just walked off of a magazine cover. Even as a small boy and later as an older man she always greeted me with the kindness that was her signature style. We have lost a city "icon" but her memory will linger for years to come. While I shed tears of sadness I also shout words and feelings of joy that celebrate my association with her. Love ya, Dave Hill

Dear Cousins,
I regret that I wasn't able to visit with your mother when I was in Salt Lake for the 90th birthday celebration for my mother. She IS a grand lady and a favorite aunt. She typified the condition of "young at heart". I fondly remember the many good times we spent together at your home and how she was always in the middle of the fun. I rejoice in her reunion with Grant. She is in good hands now. We just need to deal with the separation on our part. May God bless you all.
Your Cuz,
Gene

Vic and I have many fond memories of being at Eulala's home to enjoy the pool with Sheri and Lyle and other family members. Eulala always made it a point to make us feel welcome. She had a spunk about her that I will always remember and love. She was a great and grand lady!

Dear Butter's Family,

George Heiner, my dad, and Gloria Heiner often took Scott and I to visit Uncle Grant and Aunt Eulala's house to swim and just have some plain old fashion fun. I just loved the swimming pool and being with all my cousins, etc. The singing and delicious food was always a treat.

I have the fondest memories of their beautiful home in Bountiful, Utah. Often times there was a slippery slide set up on the side yard, and all of us kids would just ran down the slippery slide with uncontrolable laughter. We couldn't get enough of it! We all had so much energy and love for this beautiful place and their wonderful hospitality and wavering love. I will never forget those memories. I loved Uncle Grant and Aunt Eulala so much. God bless!
