Horace Hinton Rencher
1931 ~ 2010
Horace Hinton Rencher returned to his Heavenly Father, on January 27, 2010 after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Born February 14, 1931 in Burley Idaho, Horace grew up in Idaho and graduated from Burley High School. He served in the Western States mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and then joined the US Air Force.
Horace worked for many years at Hill AFB, and after retiring from Hill he worked for Farmington City Police Department, and the Davis County Sheriff's Office.
Horace is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Doris Ann; children, Cynthia (Walter) Odair, Jan (Alan) Kawaguchi, Mary Catherine (Barry) Fowler, Mark (RobynLee) Rencher, Lee Rencher, and Jason (Koryn) Rencher; 23 grand children plus numerous step grand children, 17 great grand children; brothers, John (Sharon) Rencher, Clifford (Helen) Rencher, sister in-law Cherie Rencher; also nieces, nephews, and friends. Horace was preceded in death by his son John Kent, parents, John and Mary Rencher, brother Irvine Rencher, and grandson Ryan John Stewart.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at the Farmington South Stake House – 695 South 200 East, Farmington, Utah where the family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Memorial services will be at 12:00 noon.
The Family wishes to express thanks to Hospice Services for their attentive care of Horace during his illness.
