Veronica Muto
Veronica Janice Muto, 72, of West Valley City, UT passed away in her home on Friday, January 8, 2010 after a battle with breast cancer. Born November 10, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to Alex and Gladys (Luddington) Kaminski. She is survived by one son Anthony (Jacqueline) Muto of West Valley City, Utah and one daughter Kristine Muto of Goodyear, Arizona; one sister Patricia Kendall of Paulden, Arizona; one brother Michael Kaminski of Paulden, Arizona. She also is survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Kaminski.
Veronica grew up in Detroit till she was 13 when her family moved to Arizona in 1950. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir when she was a teenager. She was a member of the USO. In 1957 she was crowned local Miss USO. While in the USO she met her future husband Theodore Muto. They were wed in 1958. During their marriage they lived in several different states. After moving to Utah in 1975 she was divorced from her husband and moved back to Phoenix, Arizona. She joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in her later years. She moved to Magna, Utah after joining the church and was active in her faith. Her favorite activities were reading, studying, genealogy and being with her family. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 7:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2811 South 6400 West, West Valley City, Utah. Her remains were cremated.
